Goro Bridges Cultural Divides With Groundbreaking New Track “Criminala Kiuchek”

Boundary-pushing electronic producer Goro has released his latest genre-defying single “CRIMINALA KIUCHEK” through legendary Mexican imprint NAAFI. The track represents a bold fusion of Balkan wedding music traditions with contemporary global club sounds, continuing Goro’s mission of cultural reclamation and musical innovation.

“CRIMINALA KIUCHEK” masterfully blends traditional Balkan Kiuchek rhythms with elements of reggaeton and pays homage to the niche Romanian 2000s genre “Instrumentala Criminala,” which attempted similar cross-cultural explorations. The result is a compelling sonic experience that challenges conventional genre classifications while creating an irresistible dancefloor energy.

Released earlier this month on NAAFI, the track has already garnered support from established names in the global electronic scene, including Skin On Skin, Ahadadream, Two Fingers, Jamz Supernova, and Bambounou, further cementing Goro’s reputation as an innovative force in underground dance music.

In 2019, Goro made a significant cultural impact when he returned to his native Bulgaria from Berlin and launched ‘Zabranena Muzika’ (Forbidden Music)—a revolutionary party concept that challenged local taboos surrounding Chalga music by recontextualizing it within underground rave culture. This bold initiative gained massive momentum following Goro’s 2022 Boiler Room debut, which showcased the concept to a global audience.

Today, ‘Zabranena Muzika’ stands as one of Bulgaria’s premier event series, regularly drawing over 1,000 attendees to monthly events in Sofia. Building on this success, Goro has announced plans to expand the concept into a record label and music collective, further amplifying his cultural mission.

“CRIMINALA KIUCHEK” is now available on all major streaming platforms.
