Vinyl Floor Share Upbeat New Single “I’m on the Upside”

Vinyl Floor unveil “I’m on the Upside,” the third single from their forthcoming album Balancing Act. The track continues the band’s exploration of melodic pop-rock with a warm retro character while maintaining an energetic and modern sound.

“I’m on the Upside” was recorded at Studio Möllan in Malmö, Sweden. The track was produced by Emil Isaksson alongside Daniel Pedersen, with mixing and mastering handled by Søren Vestergaard at The Shelter. The recording features lead vocals from drummer Daniel Pedersen, bass guitar by Jakob Gulbrandt Koldenborg, and additional guitar work from Daniel Hecht of The Breakers and Franklin Zoo.

Musically, the song is an uptempo, guitar-driven composition that blends classic pop-rock songwriting with lively instrumentation. Rich vocal harmonies and a dynamic drum groove give the track its forward momentum, while the arrangement keeps a warm, nostalgic tone without losing clarity and movement.

The song captures the feeling of observing the world from a fresh perspective, choosing individuality over conformity. With its positive tone and energetic delivery, the track sets the stage for the themes explored throughout Vinyl Floor’s upcoming album Balancing Act.
