CLG Embraces Vulnerability and Atmosphere on New Track “Louve”

With “Louve,” Belgian-Italian artist CLG continues to carve out a space that feels introspective, genre-fluid, and quietly defiant. Based in Belgium and shaped by the textures of cloud rap, trap, and lo-fi beats, CLG approaches music less as a formula and more as a personal language, one built on emotion, instinct, and lived experience.

With no formal musical training, he decided to start creating almost overnight, driven by a simple but powerful realisation. That moment of clarity became the foundation of his artistic direction. Music, for CLG, is an outlet fueled by passion and sustained by the desire to one day bring these songs to life on stage.
“Louve” reflects this mindset with ease. The track sits comfortably within CLG’s sonic world, blending hazy production with a subdued emotional weight that feels both intimate and open-ended. Influences from cloud rap and lo-fi are present, but never overpowering. There is a sense of restraint in the sound, a refusal to over-explain, which aligns with CLG’s broader goal of moving away from the clichés and dominant tropes often associated with rap.
His latest EP, 9 Milli-Lettres, brings that vision into sharper focus. Composed of nine tracks, the project functions as a snapshot of everything CLG values as an artist, diversity in sound, honesty in expression, and freedom from expectation. Each track offers a different shade of his influences and interests, making the EP less about a single narrative and more about range, curiosity, and connection.
