BTS’s Next Album Is Titled ‘Arirang’

BTS has officially revealed that their highly anticipated next full-length album is titled Arirang, marking their first major group release in nearly four years as they return from a long hiatus that included completion of mandatory military service by all seven members. The announcement was made through their agency BigHit Music and shared via the global fan platform Weverse at midnight on January 16. Arirang is scheduled for release on March 20, 2026 and will feature 14 tracks that the group says reflect their identity and emotions, drawing inspiration from the name’s cultural roots.

The title Arirang refers to one of Korea’s most cherished folk songs, a symbol of national heritage and emotional depth. BigHit Music has described the album as encapsulating BTS’s journey, focusing on themes of longing and deep love that resonate with their origins as a Korean group. Pre-orders have begun, including a variety of physical formats and exclusive editions such as multiple vinyl versions and collectible CDs available through retailers and fan platforms. The album release is tied to a major global comeback plan that includes a 2026–2027 world tour set to begin April 9 in South Korea, with the group poised to perform in dozens of cities worldwide. The Arirang era is seen as a cultural statement as well as a musical return, emphasizing BTS’s connection to their heritage while engaging with their global fanbase.
