Louis Tomlinson Thanks Fans for Making His Album U.K. No. 1 After Requesting Their Help to ‘Cut Through the Noise’

Louis Tomlinson’s latest album How Did I Get Here? has debuted at No. 1 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart, marking his second chart-topping solo release following his 2022 album Faith in the Future. The album, released on January 23, 2026, has also led the Official Vinyl Albums Chart over the past week, confirming strong physical sales alongside digital performance. Tomlinson publicly expressed his gratitude to fans for their support, acknowledging their role in helping the record rise to the top of the charts after he asked for their help on social media to “cut through the noise” surrounding multiple high-profile releases this month.

How Did I Get Here?, his third studio effort, explores a blend of psychedelic pop, funk rock, synth pop and indie rock, and was supported by earlier singles including “Lemonade.”
Tomlinson’s message of thanks came after a particularly competitive release window that saw other major artists drop music at the same time, which he referenced in posts asking fans to rally around his project.
In addition to the chart news, Tomlinson is scheduled to embark on a European and U.K. tour in 2026, set to begin in March, further promoting How Did I Get Here? following its chart success.
