Drake has revealed that his mysterious “Fear of Missing Out” project is a “not so short film,” ending weeks of speculation about what he has been preparing. The rapper shared the teaser on Saturday, Sept. 12, and announced that the project will premiere on YouTube on Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET.

The teaser shows Drake traveling across the water on a bright green speedboat while a woman narrates a message about two possible versions of a person’s life. The preview ends with the “Fear of Missing Out” title, while Drake described the project as “directed and scored by the family.”

The announcement follows several weeks of cryptic posts from Drake. In August, he shared a series of family photographs connected to “FOMO 2026,” followed by an image of a CD jewel case carrying the “Fear of Missing Out” title and a film-camera emoji.

The mysterious rollout had led to speculation that Drake could be preparing a new album, documentary, music video, tour announcement or another music project. His latest teaser confirms that the immediate project is a film, although he has not revealed its runtime, full cast or whether it will contain previously unreleased music.

The project arrives several months after Drake’s 2026 releases, including Iceman, Maid of Honour and Habibti. He has also recently returned to the stage, performing material from Iceman during a surprise appearance at Don Toliver’s Toronto concert.

“Fear of Missing Out” is scheduled to premiere on YouTube on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 9 p.m. ET. Drake has not yet disclosed additional details about the film beyond its “not so short” format and its direction and score by his family.
