Zach Bryan Vows Never to Play Kansas City Again After Online Feud With Chiefs Fans

Country music star Zach Bryan, a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, has declared he will never perform in Kansas City again following a heated social media exchange with Chiefs fans.
On August 8, Bryan mocked the Chiefs’ failed attempt at achieving a historic Super Bowl three-peat by writing on X (formerly Twitter), “Where are all the three‑peat people from last year?” The comment sparked intense backlash from fans, one of whom criticized Bryan for trash-talking the team while still including Kansas City on his tour. Bryan responded with a pointed vow: “Please understand I will never play in Kansas City. I’ll be about to finish my show and then get a taunting call if I play at that stadium.”
When another fan asked him to remove the live version of “Fifth of May (Live from Kansas City)” from his album 24 Live, Bryan replied, “Done, brother.” Yet as of the latest check, the track remains available on streaming services.
Adding fuel to the fire, Bryan continued to engage fans online, embracing the trash talk by posting, “Bro all u have to do to piss off a Chiefs fan is play a fair game of football… Guys it’s okay to talk trash… y’all are weird as hell.”
Some outlets have even dubbed the development as a city ban, given Bryan’s vow to skip Kansas City entirely in future tours. Meanwhile, Bryan offered a concession to fans in the greater area, writing, “I miss you Bonner Springs… coming to play next year,” referring to a nearby town just outside Kansas City.
This isn’t Bryan’s first row involving Chiefs culture. In 2024, he issued a public apology after tweeting “Eagles > Chiefs / Kanye > Taylor”—a post widely interpreted as a dig at Taylor Swift, given her well-known connection to the Chiefs. That misstep led to significant backlash and a temporary social media deactivation.
