Chilean artist Miguel Chacoff brings music and visual art together on MAGENTA, his debut full length project. Blending nocturnal rap, R&B, hip hop, and alternative pop, the release introduces a sound shaped by cinematic imagery and emotional storytelling. With its focus on desire, melancholy, and urban life, MAGENTA offers a personal view of Chacoff’s creative world. It also marks a new chapter for an artist whose background spans architecture, muralism, and public art.

For Chacoff, music is a natural extension of his visual practice. His work in architecture and public art has shaped an artistic identity built around colour, atmosphere, and the spaces people inhabit. Now, he translates those ideas into sound. Each track draws listeners into a world of urban dreams, intimate emotions, and late night reflections. As a result, MAGENTA feels like more than a collection of songs. It presents a cohesive artistic vision that connects sound with imagery.

The project moves between romance, street culture, desire, and melancholy. Its blend of R&B and hip hop creates room for both emotional vulnerability and urban energy. Meanwhile, the influence of alternative pop and contemporary soul adds an elegant touch to its nocturnal atmosphere. Rather than following a fixed formula, Chacoff builds a sound around his own identity. This gives the project a cinematic quality, with each song suggesting a different scene within a wider story.

Production also plays an important role in shaping the album’s atmosphere. Utopiko leads the musical production, while Wikeles handles mixing, mastering, and additional arrangements. Together, their contributions support Chacoff’s vision of a sound that feels polished, expressive, and visually evocative. The result connects the music to the project’s wider aesthetic, allowing its melodies and emotional themes to work alongside its visual identity.

Beyond the music itself, MAGENTA brings Chacoff’s creative disciplines into one unified project. The songs, music videos, and graphic elements are designed to complement one another. Consequently, the release presents a consistent artistic world rather than treating each format as a separate piece. This approach reflects Chacoff’s background as a visual artist and architect, while introducing a new dimension to his work through music.
