Jonas Brothers Barely Audible Over Screaming Fans During Spirited Banana Bowl 9th Inning Performance
The Jonas Brothers brought their biggest hits to the baseball field during the inaugural Banana Bowl in Washington, D.C., but the trio found themselves competing with the audience’s deafening cheers during a spirited ninth-inning performance on Saturday, October 10. Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas delivered a medley of songs as part of the championship event organized by the Savannah Bananas, with fans’ excitement at times making the music difficult to hear.
The performance took place at Nationals Park, where the Banana Ball Championship League held its first Banana Bowl. The Jonas Brothers took to the field during the ninth inning, turning the baseball game into a concert experience as thousands of fans sang along and screamed throughout the appearance.

The group opened with “Burnin’ Up,” one of the signature songs from their 2008 album A Little Bit Longer. They then moved into “Play My Music,” the track featured in the 2008 Disney Channel film Camp Rock, before continuing through more recent material, including “Waffle House.” The medley also included “Sucker,” the band’s 2019 Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper, and concluded with “Celebrate!”
As the brothers moved across the field, players from the six teams in the Banana Ball Championship League joined them, dancing and interacting with the performers. The baseball players added their own choreography to the musical segment, creating a combination of live music and the theatrical entertainment that has become central to Banana Ball events.
The crowd’s reaction grew particularly loud when fans were invited onto the field to meet the Jonas Brothers and receive autographs. The audience’s cheers and screams briefly overwhelmed the sound of the performance, with video footage showing the scale of the reaction as the band continued playing. The Savannah Bananas later shared the full performance on YouTube, allowing fans who were not at the stadium to watch the appearance.
The Banana Bowl brought together baseball, music and celebrity appearances for a championship event unlike a traditional baseball game. In addition to the Jonas Brothers, the programme featured performances by Pentatonix, Kane Brown and Andy Grammer. Actor and former professional wrestler John Cena also appeared, alongside other entertainers who participated in the day’s festivities.
The game itself ended with the Texas Tailgaters defeating the Savannah Bananas 2–1 to become the first Banana Ball champions. Because the competition uses a rule system that does not permit extra innings, the teams entered a special Showdown Tiebreaker after the score remained tied following nine innings. The Tailgaters ultimately secured the victory in the one-on-one format, bringing the inaugural championship to a close.
The Jonas Brothers’ appearance came during a busy period for the group. Their latest album, Greetings From Your Hometown, was released in August 2025 and debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The project followed the brothers’ continued return to touring and recording after their reunion in 2019, which produced new music and a series of major live performances.
The band also performed during an NFL game in Melbourne, Australia, in September 2026, continuing its appearances at major sporting events. The group’s ability to bring its music to audiences outside conventional concert venues has remained a feature of its recent schedule, with the Banana Bowl adding another high-profile sporting collaboration.
The Jonas Brothers’ ninth-inning performance became one of the widely shared moments from the October 10 event, with videos showing the brothers playing through the audience’s enthusiastic reaction. The Savannah Bananas published the full set online after the game, documenting the medley and the on-field interaction between the musicians, fans and players during the inaugural Banana Bowl.
