Seth MacFarlane Salutes Frank Sinatra on His New Album ‘Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements’

Seth MacFarlane, renowned for his vocal prowess and reverence for classic American music, is set to release a groundbreaking album, Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements, on June 6, 2025. This project brings to light twelve never-before-heard arrangements originally crafted for Frank Sinatra by his legendary collaborators Nelson Riddle, Billy May, and Don Costa. These arrangements, which remained in the Sinatra family’s private collection, are now being unveiled for the first time, offering a unique glimpse into the musical legacy of one of America’s most iconic artists. ​

The album’s title track, “Lush Life,” features a conceptual arrangement by Nelson Riddle from 1958, showcasing the sophisticated and emotive style that characterized Sinatra’s music. MacFarlane’s warm, expressive vocals breathe new life into these carefully preserved arrangements, capturing the essence of the original compositions while adding his own distinctive touch.

Lush Life: The Lost Sinatra Arrangements is MacFarlane’s ninth studio album and follows the success of his previous works, such as In Full Swing (2018) and No One Ever Tells You (2016), both of which received Grammy Award nominations for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. The album was recorded with a 70-piece orchestra comprised of all-star players from Los Angeles and London at the renowned Skywalker Sound Studios in Marin County, California, ensuring a rich and authentic sound. ​

In addition to the album release, MacFarlane is scheduled to perform the arrangements live at Los Angeles’ Walt Disney Concert Hall on February 17, 2026, providing fans with an opportunity to experience these lost Sinatra gems in a live setting. ​
