Céline Dion’s Paris comeback continued on Wednesday, Sept. 16, as the singer took the stage for the second night of her 26-show residency at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre. The performance came four days after her emotional opening-night return, marking another major step in her first full concert run in more than six years.

The second performance showed Dion moving beyond the emotional weight of opening night and settling more fully into the production. Her return follows years away from regular touring after she revealed her diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition that causes muscle stiffness and spasms. She had previously made high-profile appearances, including her performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but the Paris residency represents her return to a full concert setting.

Dion’s first Paris show featured a 29-song set that moved between French-language favorites, English-language hits and covers. The production included songs such as “Because You Loved Me,” “The Power of Love,” “My Heart Will Go On,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “I’m Alive,” “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “The Prayer” and “All by Myself.” The opening concert lasted roughly two and a half hours.

Night two also highlighted the scale of the comeback. Reports from the performance described Dion walking and dancing across the stage while maintaining the elaborate presentation built for the residency. The show continues a Paris run that is scheduled to include performances through October, with additional dates planned for 2027.

The Paris residency had already generated enormous demand before its opening, with more than nine million people entering the ticket lottery for the initial dates. Dion’s return has also drawn international attention, following the public journey documented in her 2024 film I Am: Céline Dion.

As of Sept. 17, Dion’s Paris residency is continuing, with the next scheduled performance set for Sept. 18 at the Plenitude Arena.
