Polo G Delays Album Release Amid Legal Issues, Tour Plans Remain Unchanged
Rapper, Polo G, postpones the release of his upcoming album, “Hood Poet.” Originally slated for a September 15 release, the project’s launch will now be delayed. Polo G cited recent legal troubles as the primary reason behind this delay.
Taking to Instagram to address his fans, Polo G explained,
“Wanted to Tap Back in & Let y’all kno imma be postponing my album drop til further notice…just gettin back on track from a minor set back I’ll be updating y’all and droppin new music soon Ik y’all been waitin on me & I appreciate the ones who show genuine support but it’ll be worth the wait I promise.”
Despite the delay in his album release, Polo G’s tour plans remain unaffected. He is still scheduled to embark on a tour, with performances in New Mexico in October and a European leg scheduled for November. Furthermore, Polo G has a concert lined up in Canada for December.
The rapper’s legal issues have garnered significant attention recently. Polo G and his brother, Trench Baby, were arrested twice within 24 hours. The initial arrest took place when the Los Angeles Police Department executed a search warrant at Polo G’s residence, discovering firearms and a small quantity of drugs.
While Polo G and his brother were initially released, they were later apprehended again on outstanding warrants for assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and kidnapping. Polo G was able to secure his release by posting a $100,000 bond last month, and his brother followed suit.
Despite these legal challenges, Polo G remains committed to his music and is determined to bounce back from this setback, promising his fans that the wait for “Hood Poet” will be well worth it.
