Drake Says He’s Working on ‘Iceman’ as a Party Rages Outside: ‘I’ll Turn Up, Do Shots, Come Back’

Drake offered fans a candid update on the creation of his upcoming ninth studio album, Iceman, during a livestream celebrating Stake’s eighth anniversary. He revealed that late-night studio sessions are fueling the project’s progress. “I’ll stay up all night f—ing recording for Iceman,” he commented during the stream, emphasizing his commitment to balancing work and play. Outside, he heard a full-blown party unfolding, and admitted he’ll sometimes step out to join in before returning to the booth: “I’ll turn up with them, do shots, come back,” he said.

Iceman is set to be released in late 2025 under OVO Sound and Republic Records. The album follows his collaborative effort Some Sexy Songs 4 U, and marks his first solo record since For All the Dogs in 2023. Its rollout has already featured two singles—“What Did I Miss?” and “Which One” (featuring Central Cee)—each launched via livestream events that blurred music, visuals, and narrative.
