Myles Smith to Headline Halftime Show at NFL’s Regular Season Debut in Dublin

In a landmark moment for both music and sports, British singer-songwriter Myles Smith has been confirmed as the halftime show performer for the National Football League’s first-ever regular-season game in Dublin. The game, featuring the Minnesota Vikings against the Pittsburgh Steelers, is scheduled for September 28, 2025, at the iconic Croke Park stadium in Dublin.
Myles Smith, hailing from Luton, earned global recognition with his 2024 release “Stargazing,” which surpassed one billion streams and charted at No. 19 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 4 on the UK Official Singles Chart. Earlier this year, he won the BRITs Rising Star Award, joining past recipients such as Adele and Sam Fender. He also recently supported Ed Sheeran on his Mathematics tour, solidifying a breakout year in his career.
The halftime show will take place on a stage destined to become a historic one. Smith will be accompanied by The Line‑Up Choir, a contemporary singing group based in Dublin.
Smith expressed his excitement exclusively to Billboard, describing the opportunity as “insane” and calling it another major milestone. Performing at such an iconic venue during the NFL’s historic regular-season debut “feels like another major milestone,” he noted, adding, “It’s an honor to be alongside so many other amazing performers… I can’t wait to bring my music to such a massive stage…”
Ahead of Smith’s performance, Cork-born singer-songwriter Lyra has been tapped to deliver Ireland’s national anthem at kick-off. Her self-titled album reached No. 1 on the Irish Albums Chart in April 2024, and she described the opportunity as fills her “with immense pride,” calling it an extraordinary honor to represent her homeland on such a landmark occasion.
This historic game marks the NFL’s first regular-season match in Ireland, continuing its international expansion under the league’s International Games program. Fans around the world—and especially those in Ireland—are poised to witness a production-packed sporting and musical spectacle this autumn.
