ADÉLA Makes Her Case For Pop Stardom at Sold-Out Los Angeles Show: ‘I’m an Immigrant’
Slovak pop singer ADÉLA made another significant step in her growing music career with a sold-out performance at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on October 8, 2026, as part of her Red Bottoms Tour. The 22-year-old artist delivered a 16-song set that showcased her vocals, choreography and distinctive visual style, while addressing her journey from Slovakia to the United States and her determination to establish herself as a pop star.
During the concert, ADÉLA introduced her breakout single “Ain’t in LA” by acknowledging that its message could sound awkward to an audience in the city where she now lives. The song challenges the glamour associated with Los Angeles and includes the declaration that the “baddest bitches ain’t in LA.” Before performing it, she asked the crowd not to boo as she explained the experiences that inspired the track.

ADÉLA told the audience that she moved from Slovakia to Los Angeles a few years ago to participate in The Debut: Dream Academy, the competition series that led to the formation of KATSEYE. Although she did not make the final group, the experience helped shape her path as a solo performer. She also acknowledged former castmates Megan Skiendiel and Lara Raj of KATSEYE, as well as Emily Kelavos of Saint Satine, who were watching from the balcony.
“I’m an immigrant,” ADÉLA told the audience, adding that Los Angeles would not be what it is without immigrants. Her remarks placed the song’s message in the context of her own relocation and the contributions of people who move to the city in pursuit of opportunities in entertainment and other industries.
The performance came weeks after the release of her debut album, PRIMA, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. The project features “Ain’t in LA” and “Nicole Kidman,” two singles that have helped expand her audience. “Ain’t in LA” reached No. 27 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Nicole Kidman” climbed to No. 11, according to the chart positions reported around the concert.
ADÉLA performed songs from PRIMA alongside material from her earlier releases, including “KGB,” “Boys,” “NastyDirtyGross,” “Starving Artist,” “SexOnTheBeat” and “Superscar.” The set incorporated ballet-inspired choreography, a hot-pink dance rail and pink and red lighting. Her background as a trained ballerina remained central to the performance, with movement and fashion playing prominent roles in the show’s presentation.
She also changed part of her usual tour set for the Los Angeles audience. Instead of performing the unreleased song “Kiss Here,” which she had featured at other stops, she performed “Homewrecked.” The change followed her explanation of “Ain’t in LA,” allowing her to address the song’s potentially provocative message while continuing with the concert.
The audience included singer Chappell Roan and ADÉLA’s former Dream Academy castmates. Their presence came as the singer’s profile continued to grow following her solo debut and the commercial performance of PRIMA. The Fonda Theatre concert was her first of two scheduled sold-out Los Angeles dates, with a second performance set for October 9.
ADÉLA’s rise follows several years of preparation, including ballet training, music releases and her participation in Dream Academy. After leaving the competition, she continued developing her solo career, signed with Capitol Records and opened for Demi Lovato earlier in 2026. Her Red Bottoms Tour has since brought the new album and its charting singles to audiences across North America and Europe, with the Los Angeles performances marking another milestone in her developing career.
